About the team:
Reporting into our HR Team Lead Clair, you’ll be joining a small HR team that are hellbent on making a difference for everyone connected at Motive. Through HR & Recruitment, our mission is to help our staff get the most out of working for the business and increase awareness of who we are as an employer. This role will play a massive part in making that happen.
And you’ll be working alongside a committed and proud Motive team in the UK and globally that want to play their part in the growth of the business and support each other daily to create a positive, values driven and hard-working professional environment.
Responsibilities:
- Adopting the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensuring their use is embedded throughout day-to-day tasks and decision making.
- Assisting with the recruitment process and creating and issuing new start documentation including offer letters and contracts
- Managing appropriate HR systems with updating all new starts, leavers and employee changes as and when necessary to include contact variations, training etc
- Responsible for processing leavers from the business and liaising with appropriate departments where necessary
- Preparing letters and communications to employees, including amendments to terms and conditions of employment and associated payroll forms
- Assisting HR Team Lead and Managers with employee relation issues – eg performance management/absence management and probation monitoring
- Assisting HR Team Lead and Line Managers with employee relations including grievances and disciplinaries as minute taker
- Focal point for issuing Subcontractor renewals and documentation
- Responsible for ensuring that all probationary periods are diarised and followed up
- Oversee the 321 appraisal system ensuring that all reminders are actioned and followed up and appropriate paperwork issued
- Processing of Motive Rewards and Employee Benefits with assistance from Payroll
- Involvement in specific HR projects as and when they arise – eg employee consultations etc
- Travel to the various Motive Offshore Group locations if required to provide HR support
- Arranging training and health surveillance appointments and maintaining records
- Liaising with Payroll as and when required
- Develop strong working relations with key stake-holders – clients, colleagues etc.
- To be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd.
- To provide appropriate training on internal systems/processes where required.
Required skills / knowledge:
- Demonstrate experience in a generalist HR Co-Ordinator role
- Must have worked in a similar HR role and either hold or be working towards a CIPD qualification.
- Able to multi-task in an organised approach to tasks, and able to re-prioritise where necessary
- Excellent communication skills and ability to foster effective working relationships both within the HR Team and the wider business
- Able to display tact and diplomacy when dealing with challenging situations
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidential information
- Good computer literacy in MS Office packages and ability to learn bespoke HR Systems
- Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure.
- Assertive with meticulous attention to detail.
