About the role: 

Location: Aberdeen, UK

Hours: Full-Time

The Project Delivery Manager is responsible for leading the successful execution of all UK Certification and Inspection projects. The role encompasses personnel management and full project lifecycle management, including planning, scheduling, financial oversight and contractual and commercial governance. The Delivery Manager ensures operational excellence through effective leadership of the Certification and Inspection division’s Projects team.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of high-impact projects while developing your leadership, commercial, and operational expertise within a supportive and collaborative team. You’ll gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, work alongside experienced professionals, and play a key role in driving the success and growth of our Certification & Inspection division. 



About the team:

As a part of our Certification & Inspection team, you’ll become part of a small, hardworking, and skilled team who are used to working collaboratively and to high standards. You'll be supported by our C&I Division manager and Operations teams in Kintore, who care deeply about what they do & the impact they have on the services we provide. 

And you’ll be working alongside a committed and proud Motive team in the UK and globally that want to play their part in the growth of the business and support each other daily to create a positive, values driven and hard-working professional environment.


Responsibilities:

People

  • Adopt and promote the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensure their use is embedded throughout day-to-day tasks and decision making.
  • Provide regular updates to the Certification and Inspection Division Manager on Project Status, Risks & Performance Metrics.
  • Focus on personal leadership and effective performance management for direct reports and the wider team, fostering a positive coaching culture.
  • Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination across departments
  • Carry out 321 Personal Development Plans with direct line reports. 
  • Facilitate onboarding, training and development of team members. 
  • Ensure the delivery team are compliant with internal policies, procedures and external regulations.

  • Adhere to and participate in company-wide sustainability policies, procedures and initiatives as they are developed to support our Net Zero objectives.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate environmental and social risks throughout project, such as potential pollution, waste generation, or negative community impact.
  • Build strong relationships with clients prioritising sustainability, positioning the company as a trusted green partner.


Product

  • Ensure the Delivery Team work with clients to develop customised, sustainable solutions that meet their operational needs.
  • Support operational planning and execution to ensure consistent delivery standards, allocating resources effectively to meet project timelines and operational demands.
  • Drive and implement process improvements to maximise operational efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with the Leadership Team to embed consistent processes, systems and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of UK C&I projects, ensuring alignment with company standards and client expectations.
  • Oversee the project financials, ensuring profitability and cost control, reporting updates to Senior Management and Finance Department. Update forecasts based on current trends and project progress.
  • Proactively review and update Motive policies and procedures, continually looking for and implementing opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency. 
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for continuous improvement across the wider business, proactively presenting recommendations and innovative ideas to key stakeholders. Lead the implementation of approved improvements, ensuring effective engagement, alignment, and follow through with internal teams to deliver measurable operational benefits.

Required skills / knowledge:

  • Proven experience in project delivery within the rental, inspection or wider offshore services sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of project financials, contracts, and commercial frameworks.
  • Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
