About the role: 

Location: Houston, Texas

Hours: Full-Time

The Sales Executive will be an integral part of the regional sales team and will be responsible for ensuring that quotes are prepared, reviewed and issued in accordance with Client requests and internal processes. Also, as part of the role, the Sales Executive will also manage the Sales Administrator in the US team.

The individual will be responsible for ensuring all offers are suitably qualified and that clarifications are dealt with and responded to in a timely manner and to the highest of standards. The Sales Executive will manage the entire sales process from receipt of Client request, through to securing the award and hand over to the Operations team; this also includes ensuring that the internal sales system, “Salesforce”, is updated to reflect the most accurate of information. 

The Sales Executive will have the chance to play a highly significant part in the success & growth of Motive Offshore Group in the America’s region. Our story in the US and wider America’s has only just begun. We have high aspirations and we see the potential across the key regions for the Energy industry in this part of world. Success for this person will see them working closely and supporting key clients in various markets, bring in and manage projects that the America’s team will really feel, and support a growing team. 


About the team:

Reporting into Jonny, our Regional Director for the Americas region, you’ll be able to lay claim to being one of the early key players of Motive Offshore in the US & Americas, helping us define how we move forward and deliver for our clients & our people. Our small team in the US are based out of Houston and may only be a few strong, but we’re growing and want great people to be a part of that.

And you’ll be working alongside a committed and proud Motive team in the UK and globally that want to play their part in the growth of the business and support each other daily to create a positive, values driven and hard-working professional environment.


Responsibilities:

People

  • Adopt and promote the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensuring their use is embedded throughout.
  • Develop strong working relations with key stakeholders – Clients, colleagues etc
  • To be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd
  • To uphold the Motive Offshore Group People Values.



Planet 

  • Adhere to and participate in company-wide sustainability policies, procedures and initiatives as they are developed to support our Net Zero objectives.
  • Lead by example in setting the highest possible standards in the promotion of People Values, HSEQ procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance to the Motive Offshore Group HSEQ Policy, procedures, standards and regulatory obligations.
  • Immediately report all accidents, incidents, near misses or environmental concerns.


Product

  • Support and assist the Americas Business Development Manager in achieving annual sales targets. 
  • Be responsible for handling rental and sales enquiries/opportunities.
  • Manage the day-to-day coordination of all sales related activities, ensuring that quotations are issues in accordance with Client deadlines and needs.
  • Lead in the development and issue of high-quality quotations, managing the process from receipt of quotation through to award and handover to the Operations team.
  • Ensure that quotations are issued in accordance with internal processes, with all necessary approvals in place.
  • Carry out sales visits to existing clients and/or potential clients. Generate and qualify leads from the sales visit(s). 
  • Responsible for managing the daily workload and activities of the Sales Administrator.
  • Assist fellow members of the regional team with any sales related activities.
  • Attend Client meetings to discuss/negotiate quotations with the aim of securing orders.
  • Carry out quality checks on the product and service delivery at the end of the project, as per the customer satisfaction management procedure.
  • Make presentations and demonstrate how a quote, product/service meets Client needs.
  • Manage and interpret Client requirements to maximise utilisation of Motive assets.
  • Liaise and collaborate with all relevant departments within Motive regarding bespoke equipment enquiries when required, supporting asset development and research & developments activities as required. 
  • Support in the development and maintain the Client sales database as per departmental procedures. 
  • Work in conjunction with the Marketing department to develop and promote Motives technical offering. 
  • Attend exhibitions and sales events as required. 
  • Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development to provide market intelligence and forecast information. 
  • Monitor and track sales project(s), deliverables, schedule, budget. 
  • Target and develop Client base to generate growth in sales revenue and margin thorough contractual and new business wins. 
  • Engage in any other reasonable activity as requested by the management.


Required skills / knowledge:

  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in similar equipment to the Motive offering.
  • Experience of providing solutions & supporting clients across key America’s regions.
  • Proven track record of providing solutions and supporting clients within the Energy sector would be advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of sales.
  • Ability to achieve targets.
  • Good negotiator, with an innovative approach.
  • Strong understanding of Client and market dynamics/requirements.
  • Confident to communicate with all levels of the organisations.  
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organisation. 
  • Good computer literacy. 
  • Be a good Team player
