About the role: 

Location: Morgan City, Louisiana

Hours: Full Time


Reporting to the Operations Lead, you will be responsible for the (de)mobilisation, preparation, servicing and maintenance of equipment being deployed onshore and offshore to Client projects.  

This role will also be responsible for the completion of and processing of mobilisation paperwork and for undertaking necessary testing, repairs and servicing of regional equipment. The Site Lead must ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant Health, Safety and Quality guidelines.

Responsibilities:

People

  • Adopting and promoting the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensuring their use is embedded throughout day-to-day tasks and decision making.
  • Ensuring regular communication with Project and Operations team.
  • Liaise with other departments and individuals required to support the programme.
  • Develop strong working relations with key stake-holders – Clients, colleagues etc.

Planet

  • Safe operation of machinery, hand tools, lifting equipment and ensure job materials and equipment are correctly used.
  • HSEQ – comply with health, safety and environmental regulations and the company’s management system. 
  • Identify and use of appropriate tools and equipment.
  • To be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd.

Product

  • Preparation and mobilisation of all equipment in accordance with the relevant procedures and scope requirements, 
  • Testing and preparation of equipment including, winch wire spooling and testing, flow / pressure testing of hydraulic systems and flushing. 
  • Offloading, storing and testing of equipment returned from Client projects.
  • Quarantining and tagging off hire equipment in line with the Product Identification and Tagging Procedure,
  • Upkeep of and completion of demobilisation paperwork including the recording of missing or damaged equipment.
  • Performing and documenting inspections of demobbed equipment.
  • Stocktake of major equipment and consumables, including but not limited to wire ropes, hoses, cables, fitting and spares. 
  • Identifying, arranging and undertaking required repairs, recertification and maintenance of equipment pre and post project.
  • Servicing and undertaking planned preventive maintenance and /or upgrades to equipment.
  • Ensuring all service and maintenance records are completed and uploaded within the company IT software system
  • Ability to read, understand and disseminate technical drawings and converse with the technical requirements of the task in hand. 
  • Lead, with support as required, in the coordination and execution of equipment FAT’s.


Required skills / knowledge:

  • Experience of maintaining and operating Motive equipment.
  • Time served in a mechanical and/or hydraulic role preferred.
  • Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical hook-up experience.
  • Good knowledge of hydraulic components is essential.
  • Forklift License preferred.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
  • Experience of leading a team in a technical environment is preferred.
  • Good IT skills is a must
  • Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve
  • The ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organisation.
  • Attention to detail with strong organisation skills.
