About the role: 

Location: Sharjah, UAE

The Technical Sales Manager plays a critical role in achieving the Motive Offshore Group’s business objectives within the MENA Region. As part of the MENA Sales Team, the role involves managing technical sales activities, generating and qualifying leads, and ensuring customer satisfaction in line with the company’s Quality Management System. The role is integral to promoting Motive's People Values and embedding sustainable practices throughout all activities.  

Motive’s reputation is built on strong relationships and service with our clients. As the Technical Sales Manager for the MENA region, you’ll be partnering with key customers across multiple sectors across the Energy industry. By being the focal point, you’ll have the responsibility of advising on technical solutions and components, bringing to life the project requirement and being the one that drives efficiency internally & externally. You’ll be involved in high value and volume projects globally, so there will be no shortage of impact and appreciation of your efforts. 


About the team:

As a part of our MENA team, you’ll become part of a small, hardworking, and skilled team who are used to working to a high standard and specification. Reporting to the Sales Manager for MENA, you will be supported by our MENA sales team as well as communicating daily with our manufacturing, rentals and projects teams to deliver what’s required with first class customer service.

As well, you will be working alongside a committed and proud Motive team globally, who want to play their part in the growth of the business and support each other daily to create a positive, values-driven professional environment.


Responsibilities:

People

  • Adopting and promoting the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensuring their use is embedded throughout day-to-day tasks and decision making.
  • Support and assist the MENA Sales Manager in achieving MENA’s annual sales revenue targets/budgets. 
  • Assist fellow members of the Sales Team with any technical requirements relating to their respective enquiries/opportunities.
  • Develop strong working relations with key stakeholders – clients, colleagues etc
  • Visit clients face to face to discuss technical and commercial ongoing leads.
  • Support MENA Sales Administration and other teams when necessary. 
  • Liaise and collaborate with all relevant departments within Motive regarding bespoke equipment enquiries when required.
  • Conduct regular visits to existing and potential clients to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities
  • To be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd



Planet 

  • HSEQ – compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, and the company’s management system.
  • Participate in internal and external training courses where identified.
  • Advocate for and integrate environmentally friendly and energy-efficient products or services in client proposals and solutions.
  • Support the implementation of regional policies and procedures that support sustainability and corporate social responsibility
  • Support customers by identifying potential environmental impacts of implementing the company’s products or solutions and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Adhere to and promote Motive’s sustainability initiatives, contributing to Net Zero objectives.


Product

  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers during product evaluation, selection, and specification(s). 
  • Be responsible for handling MENA technical sales enquiries/opportunities.
  • Carry out quality checks on the product and service delivery at the end of the project, as per the customer satisfaction management procedure.
  • Read and understand technical drawings associated with the Motive Offshore Group Ltd product offering. 
  • Make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product/service meets clients’ needs.
  • Manage and interpret customer requirements, providing tailored solutions
  • Develop and maintain the customer sales database as per departmental procedures. 
  • Proactively target and develop new business opportunities to grow sales revenue and margin.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing/PR team to develop sales materials and activities. 
  • Attend exhibitions and sales events as required. 
  • Monitor competitors market conditions and productive development to provide market intelligence and forecast information. 
  • Monitor and track sales project(s), deliverables, schedule, budget. 
  • Target and develop client base to generate growth in sales revenue and margin thorough contractual and new business wins.


Required skills / knowledge:

  • Proven technical knowledge of Motive product lines
  • Previous experience in sales with the ability to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of sales.
  • Ability to achieve targets.
  • Good negotiator, with an innovative approach and client focused approach.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics/requirements.
  • Awareness of sustainability and environmental considerations within a sales and technical context.
  • Proficiency in using sales and CRM tools and strong computer literacy.
  • Confident to communicate with all levels of the organisations.  
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organisation. 
  • Good computer literacy.
  • Team Player
