About the role:

The Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) Wire Rope Technical Authority is the senior technical specialist responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and technically correct execution of all wire rope activities undertaken by Motive across the GCC. The role provides technical leadership for all wire rope operations, develops procedures and project documentation, mentors field personnel and acts as the company’s recognised subject matter expert for clients and third-party stakeholders. The Technical Authority will lead complex offshore and onshore projects including wire rope installation, replacement, spooling, socketing, inspection, failure investigations, and lifecycle management while driving continual improvement throughout the business.

About the team:
As a part of our FZE team, you’ll become part of a small, hardworking, and skilled team who are used to working to a high standard and specification. Reporting to Service Delivery Manager, you will be supported by our team of onshore and offshore personnel working alongside you, whose goal, much like your own, will be to enable a quick and safe turn-around of equipment.
As well, you will be working alongside a committed and proud Motive team globally, who want to play their part in the growth of the business and support each other daily to create a positive, values-driven professional environment.
Responsibilities:

Liaise and build rapport with the client whilst at the worksite.
Develop strong working relations with key stake-holders – clients, colleagues etc.

Lead by example in setting the highest possible standards in the promotion of People Values, HSEQ procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance to the Motive Offshore Group HSEQ Policy, procedures, standards and regulatory obligations.
Immediately report all accidents, incidents, near misses or environmental concerns
Adhere to and participate in company-wide sustainability policies, procedures and initiatives as they are developed to support our Net Zero objectives.
Product
Technical Leadership
Act as Motive’s technical authority for all wire rope related activities.
Develop and maintain company wire rope procedures, technical standards and best practice guidance.
Provide technical support to operational teams throughout project planning and execution.

Lead technical decision making for complex or non-standard wire rope projects.
Support business development teams with technical proposals, methodologies and client presentations.
Project Engineering
Produce detailed project plans, method statements, risk assessments, and lift methodologies.
Develop equipment lists, mobilisation plans, and execution strategies.
Review client documentation and ensure technical compliance prior to mobilisation.
Support project costing by identifying equipment, personnel and operational requirements.
Provide technical oversight during high-risk operations.
Competency & Training
Develop competency standards for wire rope technicians.
Carry out practical and theoretical competency assessments.
Mentor and coach technicians to improve technical capability.
Deliver classroom and practical wire rope training.
Develop training material and competency records.
Identify training requirements across the business.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
Review completed projects and identify lessons learned.
Investigate technical incidents and non-conformances.
Produce technical reports and recommendations.
Improve company procedures and inspection methodologies.
Ensure compliance with company QHSE systems.
Client Interface
Act as technical focal point during client meetings.
Provide technical guidance to clients on wire rope selection, installation, and lifecycle management.
Participate in technical reviews and project kick-off meetings.
